My cat is losing hair on the bottom of his tail

I have a 2yr old cat who is losing the hair on the bottom of his tail right next to his butt. I have not changed is diet or enviroment at all. I have 3 other cats and none of them has this problem. What coud it be? (They are all inside cats)

Is the cat licking himself there a lot? Are the other cats licking him? Does he have fleas? Is he licking himself in other spots, such as his sides, etc?

Pretty hard to guess at this. You might need to have the vet look him over if you cannot see any reason for this behavior. And that is what it could be, a behavior issue if he is licking it.
