Question
Hello!

I am trying to find a wet cat food that has glucosamine/chondroitin added for older cats.  I can find dry food that has it but not wet food.  Do you know of any that has this?

Thanks!

Edgar

Answer
Hi Edgar,
I have found a few foods, but elderly cats really don't benefit much from adding glucosamine to their food unless it's been in the food for years. You can't fix old, arthritic joints by adding it at the age of 12 or older. Does that make sense?

I understand you wanting to help your cat and give them the best so I will include some links. I do not personally recommend these foods, but you can try them.

many of these foods are too high in protein for older cats. You must also be careful about these manufacturers due to the recalls.

I have never had a client ask for cat food for senior cats with glucosamine in it, but we have used a product called Cholodin for years that help cats with all over cognitive function.

I hope this helps!!
