blood-colored messes

Ms. Nixon,
I'm sorry the subject line is so descriptive and gross, but my approximately 3 year old female cat is leaving blood colored, mucus consistency messes, sometimes associated with feces, anywhere but her litter box.  We got her from the humane society, where she was supposed to be spayed, but could these messes be the result of a botched surgery?

blood filled diarhea is very serious but easily fixed, your cat may be dehydrated, make sure u provide fresh water for your cat, since you got the cat from the humane society its best to take the cat in for an exam, she probably has a bad case of worms.
