My guiena pigs First litter

hello, my 5 month old guiena pig is having her first litter, But she is very still and her eyes are wet. I have another female who has had 4 litters over the past 5 years and did not act like this... I am very concerned... she has not eaten in atleast 1 whole day is this normal? Can I do anything to help her? I don't think this is normal from my past experience with late preg.

Hi Samantha.  This behavior can be normal during labor.  I would definatley suggest a vet visit though, if this has been going on for more than 24 hours and no delivery has occured.  There is a possibility that she may be experiencing a calcium/vitamin C deficiancy or that a baby may be stuck in the birthing canal.  Your best and safest bet would be by having a veterinarian physically examine her.  I hope this helps and please, if you have time, keep me posted!
