Question
My 9 month old english springer bitch has had an episode of diarrhea for the last week or so. She has had diarrhea on and off since i got her at 10 weeks old. At 12 weeks she was diagnosed with giardia(?)That was medicated and treated and she recovered fine. We have changed her food a few times because of the awful wind problems she suffered with and it worked a teat on the last food (Wagg Sensative) but now her poo has become sloppy again (almost like cow pats)Does this need to be seen by a vet? She is perfectly active and fine in herself, eating, drinking and playing like a crazy dog. I am guessing its something she has eaten out on a walk but im not sure she should have recurrent diarrhea.. she is fully wormed and up to date with vaccines. Thank you for your help.

Answer
If she is not losing any weight, then all I would recommend is something to bind here stools like kaopectate.  I would also use a more bland food that contains chicken and rice.  If this continues, she may need some digestive enzymes to help her digest her food better. That may stop the gas problem.
