Dogs Mouth Watering

Question
Hi, My dog's mouth is watering an unusual amount this evening. This is not like the normal saliva (slobber!) but very watery, dripping almost like a faucet. Is this normal? What could this be?

Thanks!

Answer
Hi Ginny!  I can't be 100% positive without seeing your dog, but drooling in this manner is usually caused by a toxicity.  Has your dog eaten any plants or gotten into garbage or anything else he/she shouldn't have?  How is he/she behaving otherwise?  If he/she is lethargic, not eating and salivating in this manner, an immediate vet visit would definately be in call for.
Please let me know how your dog does!
