lip discoloration on my dog

my 6 year old yorkie has pink on her lower lip that looks like discoloration. I first noticed it about 6 months ago, over the past few months it seems to be spreading/extending across her lip,and right under her bottom palette through her fur seems to be pink as well. I haven't noticed any other changes (in texture, lumps..etc). Do you have any idea what this could be and is it something I should be concerned with?

No, this is something that a vet should see. I have no clue and it is not something that can be guessed at over the internet. It might be nothing at all. Usually as dogs age the black on their lips spreads around, not the pink.
So I would have a vet look at it.
