my dogs bowel movements (sorry)

For the last two days (of course, over the Thanksgiving holiday)every time my male Belgian Sheepdog has to poop, he crys like someone is really hurting him.  Yesterday, for the first time ever, he cried in pain and pooped on my kitchen floor.  He has always had a tendency to have loose stools.  The stool he passed was greenish in color and a bit larger than usual but not particularly hard.  I'm sorry this is so (ugh) but my vet clinic isn't open until Monday.  Any suggestions?

I would recommend adding some fiber to his diet in the form of plain canned pumpkin as well as mixing some olive oil into his food as a lubricant to see if that helps.  I am not sure what diet he eats, but a diet change to an all-natural hypoallergic diet such as Nature's Recipe Venison or Fish Meal may be of benefit as well as it sounds like he probably has a bit of inflammatory bowel disease.
