Demdectic Mange Treatment

What is the forumla for treating demodectic mange with Ivomec 1% Solution?  What is the correct dosage for a 22 lb American Pitbull?  I have seen several vets in the past 4 weeks and have gotten 2 different dosages from them.  I was told .50 cc daily via subcutaneous injection and .2 cc orally (mixed with food) daily.  Thank you for your help in clearing this up.

You will get various methods because Ivomec is not approved for use in demodectic mange.  The dosage range is .1ml per 10 pounds of the 1% injection to 0.6ml per 10 pounds once daily either by injection or orally.  So for your dog the dose would be from 0.2 to 1.2 ml per day.

I still do amitraz dippings every 2 weeks for 6 dips, which is the only approved insecticide for demodex mites.
