Relocating Shih Tzu from NYC to Hong Kong

I will be relocating from NYC to Hong Kong shortly.  I have a Shih Tzu that just turns 3 years old.  This is such a long flight that I would very much like to have her fly with me in the cabin.  Do know if there are any airlines that would allow this?  Do you know if Hong Kong will accept her traveling this way?  Can you tell me a little more about having her in cargo?  I read somewhere that because of this breed having breathing problems flying in cargo could create problems.
