Question
We want to buy a small house in the Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, and want to know the regulations for bringing our 70 lb. (cocoanut retriever of unknown parentage) into the country, and back to the Virgin Islands.  We must go through Puerto Rico.  Other than the airlines, is there a problem in the winter?
Thanks,
Alice

Answer
Why be concerned with winter?  There is NO winter in your area.  Best
time of year for pet travel. Check with authorities in DR for any
requirements they might have. Check with VI authorities for return.
The airlines should have copy of requirements.
