taking a dog from U.S to India

could you please let me know the procedure to take a pup from the united  states to my home Country i.e India

Primary paperwork will be: APHIS 7001 international health cert
issued within 10 days of travel and endorsed by USDA.  Also, rabies
vaccination at least 30 days old and less than 1 yr.
Check Indian embassy or consulate for latest info.  Sometimes
different Indian states have different entry requirements.  Some
require import permit.  Check with the airline you fly on as well
