Question
I am looking to move in may of next year back to england from Philadelphia, PA.  I have 2 cats and am getting concerned with them travelling such a long distance and am worried whthter it will be dangerous for them.  I don't want to take them back if it is going to kill them but neither want to give them away as  I love them to bits.  Is it safe for them to fly and travel such a long distance?

Answer
Jason
YES  it is safe to fly with them.  This is one of the shortest trips
we have with pets.  Many go to South Africa and Australia, and the
travel time is many times more than to UK
Be sure to check with DEFRA  VERY carefully to make sure you follow
their requirements for entry into UK
You can check out Cunnard Ship lines as to trans Atlantic travel
by ship on one of the Queens.  Their kennels bookup far in advance.
Otherwise, Brit Air from Philadelphia, or Continental from Newark
will be your best bets.
