purple up

Question
I've been hearing alot about this purple up for live rock and would like to try it out. Currently I am using the Kents reef start up kit (calcium, iodine,strontium&molybdenum) . Can I continue to use the start up kit when I start using purple up or will this overdue it?

personaly i would avoid it, the purple coraline algae is a bit of a pain as it blocks the pores in the rock. i can't seem to get the stuff to stop growing!

i find the salt i use to be sufficient in providing enough calcium for the coraline to grow in abundance, give reef crystals a go see if it makes any diffrence. i litterally had to buy an urchin to eat the stuff in my tank.
