Seahorse tank

Question
Hello,
I don't know if you remember me or not. We spoke about a month ago and you helped me answer some questions about preparing a seahorse tank. Once again, I have a few questions. I have been keeping fish in the aquarium (30 gallon, crushed coral for the bottom and a 200gph filter) for about 3 weeks now (2 fish, 2 hermit crabs, and a bottom feeder) in order to start the biological cycle. I have been getting the water tested regularly and so far the water is healthy. I am wondering when you think I can start putting live plants in the aquarium and what sort of live plants are suitable for seahorses.
The other question I have is about copepods and amphipods. I am not sure when I should/how to start raising them. I tried to do research on them and all I've found is information on what they are. There is very little information on how to raise them and keep them under control.
Any information you can provide is helpful!
Thanks very much! =)

Mitch

Answer
Hi Mitch,

Put several bottles of live culture of pods in right now and hopefully in about 2 months, there will be a nice healthy population...a good way to start the seahorses.  You will still have to buy them, but you will have some living in the tank as well, and it should help out.

I would start putting live plants in anytime.

There are several good plants for seahorses.  Let me send you a great link so you can read more.

They really love gorgonians, and they are easy to grow.  Mine grew like mad.

Here is a good link for you to start reading.
