Question
Hey there. I have a 10 gallon nano with only 40 watts of 6700k, and i will be buying a metal halide pendant HQI light. I was advised to get the 150 watt, but i was told it would be overkill on only 10 gallons. I have an empty 22 gallon that i could turn in to saltwater. I dont want to do SPS (because of the price), but some cheaper corals like shrooms and stuff are what i would like to have.

I guess my question is will the 150 watt light be adequate for coral in  a 22 gallon?

Thanks,
    ~Matt

Answer
Overkill for a 10 yes, for a 22 you are within the range. If you can set it up it would be good to run other lights along with the MH. Have some flor. come on around 7 in the morning, then the M/H come on around 10 am, and turn off around 2 pm, then have your flor. turn off around 7 or 8 pm, and last moon led at night.
