skimmer

hello , I have  30 gallon tank with a 14 gallon sump I have my skimmer in the display tank but want to remove it from there and put it in the sump but  I diy the sump and the only space I have is where the refugium is, my question is won't the skimmer take some of the nutrients from the refugium where the chaeto is or will it be ok for thre chaeto

the water that is in the fuge is the exact same water that is in the tank. so having the skimmer on the tank would have no different an affect then if it were to be put onto the fuge. so in other words no, there will be no ill affect your tank will function exactly the same. and looks better as well.
