Devoid of Natural Sunlight

Question
Hi,

My question is that in case of any aquarium wether freshwater or saltwater, the fish that reside are devoid of natural sunshine. I mean that I once saw a program in which a monkey was shown. The monkey was kept inside all it's life and so it's skin was pale. So in case of a fish, can fluorescent bulbs or any other lighting take place of the natural sunshine?

Answer
Hi Jem:

While nothing can ever reproduce the suns natural rays, years of studies, evidence, and home aquarium enthusiasts have all shown that by using full spectrum Metal Halide lighting, Power Compact or Compact Fluorescent lighting, Incandescent lighting, and LED lighting one can successfully keep fish, including: aquatic zoos, public aquariums and aquarium hobbyists abroad can successfully keep fish in captivity.

There is a plethora of information in regard to this subject online. Just do a Google search on the subject and you'll see hoards of information pertaining to this.
