Question
I have two oscars and the smallest one happens to be albino. My albino oscar is not swimming anymore and is laying upside down in the tank. when ferther examining it, it appeared to be still breathing and was moving it's front fins. It also has a skin condition to were it is very flaky and falling apart from it's body. What could be wrong with my fish and what should i do to save it?

Answer
Dear Deaudria,
I'm so incredibly sorry this couldn't have been sent sooner.

Sounds very likely that your two oscars are suffering from a terrible water quality issue.

I truly hope you haven't lost them by now. Please immediately do a water change down to their dorsal fins (top fin), gravel vacumm, and be sure to make the replacement water equal in temperature to that of your aquarium and insure to use a water conditioner everytime. These massive water changes will revive most sickly oscars. But if the poor babies are too far gone, I'm not sure if even the water change would help.

Most likely terrible water conditions are making your oscars as sickly as they are now. A massive water change is grealty in need ASAP!

Best wishes, feel free to let me know how they are doing,
Karen~
