QuestionI have a large shubunkin in a community tank and it has recently started bullying my bubble-eye. At one point, it had my bubble-eye jammed up against my ornamental bridge and was trying to force it inside. He just seems to pick on the bubble-eye.
I removed shubunkin for seven days and kept him in isolation for seven days in a goldfish bowl as "punishment".
He has now been returned to the community tank and appears to be behaving himself.
What should I do if his bullying behaviour returns?
AnswerHi Andrew;
If the shibunkin keeps it up you will have to separate him permanently to his own tank. Those poor bubble-eyes just can't move quickly enough to get away or defend themselves. I have known shibs to be bullies to other goldfish sometimes too. Beautiful fish, it's just their personality I guess.
