Setting up a Yellow Perch Tank.

Hello, I was just interested in setting up a perch aquarium in my house. I am only 14 and go down to the local creek and i found some small baby Yellow Perch, and was just wondering if it was possible to keep them in a tank. My current tank is only 20 Gallons, but might be getting a 55 gallon soon, so could i keep maybe 1-3 perch in that tank? Also, I don't know if you can do this, but could you tell me what materials I would need to purchase to check the PH levels and what fish food I would have to buy. Thanks.

well if they are babies, then it is fine to have them all for some time, but when they get big then youll have to put some back in the lake.....umm there are ph kits in pet stores, and the food you should get flakes, but arent yellow pirch a fish that people catch?
