angel fish dodgy eye

my angel fish bob has developed a very swollen and protruding eye' around the eye it has a cotton wool like substance the eye is also clouded over. i did water test high nitrite so cleaned out and did water change what else should i do' i am new to fish keeping

It sounds like your fish has pop eye and it could be infected. so go to a pet store like petsmart or something and buy some maracyn tc or maracyn this is an antibiotic and it will turn the water a yellowish color. be sure to seperate the fish into a serperate tank. follow the directions on the package. good luck!
