Needlnose fish

Question
I have a needlenose fish and he stays pretty calm and at the top of the tank but I noticed when i wipe the outside of the tank down he goes CRAZY he starts trying to jump and swimming fast and looks like he's trying to run into my hand, i'm not sure if it amuses him or scares him and was wondering if anyone knew.
After i stop with then wiping he calms back down and goes back to normal.
What could this mean?

Hi Crystal, he is just scared because fish get used to the same thing over and over again each day and when you do something like that it just startles them. He should be fine though he is just getting startled as long as he isn't hitting anything hard in your tank he is quite alright. Good Luck!
