gold fish - group behavior

Hi,

I am wondering; I found that goldfish normally like groups. What i cannot find anywhere is the answer to the question "when goldfish live in groups, is one of them the leader?"

Goldfish are better off alone. The more gold fish the bigger tank you need. One gold fish needs 5 gallons per inch of them and they get a foot long.

There really isn't a leader they just swim around together. I have never seen them really follow one fish.
