Regeneration

Our baby Koi lost it's tail.  Will it regenerate?  She is very tiny, less than 3 weeks old.

Aww, :)

The tail will likely regenerate provided the environment is very clean and she gets quality food several times a day as all baby fish should receive.

But depending on the level of the damage (such as if its just a stump and very little actual "fin" is left) regrowth may be very minimal and probably wouldn't be to its full potential.

But who knows, the little baby is still young after all!
