Question
I have 2 gold mollies, 2 swordtails,2 guppies and 1 algae eater....

I cleaned the water the night before, then this morning I saw a baby fry... Little did I know, that any of my fish was pregnant... I was shocked when I saw the tiny baby fry...but I only saw one...I'm not sure which fish gave birth...my swordtail is like an inch and half in size..my gold mollies are just like an inch and quarter...then my guppies are  inch and quarter too...But i think it's my swordtail that gave birth, because she's always on the gravel... so my little fry is swimming in my tank and hiding between gravels...it's so hard for me to locate her...and she the only one i can find...What should i do? I'm scared that my algae eater might eat her..or the other mollies and guppies my eat her...she's do tiny and helpless... what should I do? I only had my sword tail for two weeks from now and mh guppies are only a month with me...basically I'm newbie with my fish...but my tank is doing great...and the fishes are getting along well...

Answer
If you want to keep your fry safe, you will need to put him/her in a net or breeder box (if you don't have another tank).  You will only have to leave it in there until it is old enough to outrun the adults.  You can get a breeding net or box for a few dollars at your LFS.  They look like this:

Get one that allows water to flow into the box without the fry getting out.  This will also help you down the line, as you can separate any pregnant females that are about to give birth.  I hope this helps :)
