Traveling with Fish.

Question
This may seem a bit odd but, i am leaving my home for a month to go up to my other house. Leaving my fish behind to be cared for by someone else is not an option at this point, so i have decided to travel with them in the car. The trip will last for two half days(driving approximatly 6 hours per-day) and one night will be spent in a hotel. (where i obviously plan to remove the tank from the car and plug in the light heater and aeration in the hotel room) I have made a sturdy crate, they will be very secure and should not be bouncing around too much. I have a 2.5 gallon tank with a divider. On one side is a Betta two male guppies and a small snail the other side is a Betta and two corycatfish (i know it seems over crowded but i have not had any problems they all seem very healthy and happy) The tank is about four months old. I change the water often but not a set schedule; usually when i notice it is cloudy or as soon as i notice the catfish going to the surface for air(approximatly a once a week). i have done research and all i have gathered is to possibly put plastic wrap on the top so the water doesnt spill out and make a mess. I do have an outlet in the car so i can easily plug in the light, aeration, and heater if necessary. My question to you is: is there anything more i can do or shouldnt do? If you have any ideas or any other information please let me know. Thanks for your time.

Answer
Hello!

You will need two things, a heater and a filter. The wrap is a good idea too.

It can be any type of filter, as long as it will create a disturbance in the surface of the water.

Also, your tank is very overstocked. Not even one of those fish could be kept in that size tank happily, let alone 6. There is a very good chance that your fish will get ich from this trip. But you'll just have to wait and see I guess.
