Question
Hi,
I have several bettas, and yesterday noticed that one of my blue+red females(?/short finned male) has a small bubble like spot in its front fin, which looks like its full of fluid. Ive isolated it into a large jar, and have put some methylene blue treatment into its water. Is there anything else you could suggest, because i read that if it is a cyst i have to put it down, which would be a shame because its so beautiful and i have had it for a long time.

Answer
Hi Ricky,
We can't be really sure what the small-bubble thing is on the fin but it may be a cyst or a injury spot. I would just keep his water as clean as you can, feed him a really good diet with lots of vitamins and keep a close eye on him.

I wouldn't put him down. Give him plenty of time.

Best wishes!
Karen~
