White Skirt Tetra

Question
I have five white skirt tetra's in a 70 gallon aquarium with Mollies, platy's, neon tetra's, cleaner fish, and red colored zebra fish (or something like that). Anyway they have spawned a few times and until their last spawning I didn't realize it was them. I was wondering how I will know when they are going to spawn again or if I can be in control of that? Also is there a web site where I can see what their fry will look like after they hatch? I am worried if I miss a spawning their might be some baby's hanging around waiting to be eaten and I don't know what they look like to save them. Last but not least how do I know if the eggs are even fertile. Are they clear, white, ....? Please help, My Mollies and platy's have had babies and now I have baby fish fever and I would love to have some baby white skirt tetras!!

Answer
I've never bred Skirt tetras before but this short article from Aquatic-hobbyist.com explaining some facts about spawning may help.
----------------------
"Some authors have suggested that separating a single pair from the larger shoal and placing them in a breeding tank will induce breeding. Others have removed multiple pairs at the same time. Most will suggest either the usage of a spawning mop or the removal of the parents soon after breeding. Be warned, though, that this is not an easy process, and that the parents will often upset the eggs within the tank as they are being removed. This is probably preferable to the egg-eating which may be the only other alternative.

White eggs may be nonfungused. As long as they aren't fuzzy, leave them alone, as they are likely to still be viable.

The fry are extremely small at their birth. They can be fed liquid egg layer fry foods until they are a week or two old."

And here's a REALLY good detailed article with pictures-
