film on glass

Question
I just recently cleaned my tank and it appears that I have some cloudiness or maybe a film on my glass. How do I fix this problem? (55 gallon)

Answer
Hi D
Is the tank full or empty?  If it's empty, a vinegar and water solution and a paper towel might help.  Vinegar isn't harmful to fish, but it can lower the ph.  But I'm not sure if the residual amounts left on would be enough to do that, so just give it a quick rinse if it's on the inside of the glass.  You could also use an algae scrapper type of sponge as well, it won't hurt the glass.  If the tank is full of water, just try scrubbing it with an algae scrapper sponge, no vinegar.  If it doesn't come off, it's probably there for good.
