pleco compatability

After moving a year ago, I am finally setting up my 85 gallon tank. I will be keeping discus and live plants. I have a 6" vampire pleco-L007(I believe). I would like to put a "green phantom" pleco - L200 in also. I know the L007 is VERY territorial. Are these 2 fish compatible?

Hi George,
True, Vampire plecos are territorial. But there -is- a chance since the aquarium is very large and if you provide plenty of extra caves and hiding places favor is on your side that the two might get along reasonable OK.

Its quite a gamble actually. When dealing with territorial fish. So I can't guarantee. Its a risk you'll have to take. Make sure to have a separate tank in case plan B is needed!
