Question
Hi Karen,
I emailed you earlier asking about care instructions for Beta fish for a wedding centrepiece.  Would you recommend any other type of fish that i could use that would go well together in a tank?

Answer
Hello again Katie!

Well, there is also the thought of using only female bettas. Females can normally be kept together in a decent size aquarium of at least 10-20gallons with lots of thick plants and hiding retreats.
Females today come in many beautiful colors and you rarely find an uninteresting female betta.
But remember you can still have arguments between females but it's never near what males do.
And under good conditions and a thickly planted enviroment, there are rarely severely damamging conflicts.

Otherwise, I would please recommend you do not put live fish at risk to the many dangers of being around big crowds of people. No offence to you at all. But things can happen badly to the fish. You don't have to go by my suggestion but what about using the containers you were going to put fish in and instead fill it with water and perhaps some very gorgeous glass beads or flattened marbles on the bottom finished off by two or three floating votive candles glittering on top?

Thank you for your question and I really hope this helps!

My very best wishes for your wedding!
Take care,
Karen~
