Guppies and piranahs????

Question
QUESTION: Hi there, i recently asked a question to Nicole, and she helped a lot, but  i still need more help!! I wanted to know ho many guppies i will need to always have fry to feed to my piranahs. In addition i have mollies and sword tails.  At a pet store the owner told me that the female molly would breed with the male sword tail??? I don't know if this is true, but i need to now because i now have 2 female mollies, 1 female swordtail, and 1 male swordtail.  It will do no good if they cannot breed.  I also want to know if you know of any places, online or in pet stores, that has very cheap guppies.  I also wanted to know what are the best breeders to use to breed enough for for 3 full grown piranahs.  They will eat about 2-3 apiece a day when they are fulll grown.  Do gold fish breed?? i was also told this, but all they did was eat my guppies and make my tank dirty!!!  Thanks so much, and sorry about all of the questions!!!  Dylan

ANSWER: Hi Dylan, I have some guppies and mollies of my own so I think I can answer these questions for you. Your mollie and swordtail will breed together if your swordtail is a mollie but if it is a guppie they are hard to breed together. There are many kinds of swordtails so I don't really know which kind you have. The females will produce babies  every 3 to 4 weeks for about 3 times. So you will get about up to 100 fry out of each mollie and guppie. You can buy guppies anywhere for about 2 dollars a piece. All breeders are the same I've tried them all and they all work just as good for me so it's really just your perforation. Gold fish do breed but they are much harder to breed and they lay eggs not livebearers. Good Luck!

QUESTION: Hi there again!!!
I don't understand the part about the swordtail being a mollie??? I bought just a normal swordtail and a black and white mollie and a yellow or gold mollie!!!  I also wanted to know how many guppies to have to be able to feed three adult piranahs.  They will eat 2-3 guppies a day apiece!!!  My breeder tank is a 35 gallon.  Thanks so much, Dylan

Answer
Hi Dylan, I was just asking about the swordtail because there can be swordtail guppies and mollies. But it is most likely a mollie so he should be able to breed with your mollies. You should buy about 8 or 9 females and 3 or 4 males to make sure you'll always have fry to feed your piranhas. Good Luck!
