QuestionI have a single betta in a ten gallon tank, and the water always seems dirty. I used to keep him in a half-gallon bowel, without a filter, and that seemed adequate, but now I'm thinking I'd like him to have a filter. I hear betta don't do well if there's too much turbulance, so I'm hoping you can reccoment the best filtration setup for a betta to keep them happy and swimming.
Thanks!
AnswerHi Jeremy;
I like using sponge filters, box filters or other similar types in betta tanks. They are operated by an air pump that could be adjusted if it gets too turbulent.
Here are links to what they are if you don't know about them;

I don't endorse Big Al's personally, because I have never ordered from them. I just like their pictures and descriptions and copied these so you would know what to look for in your local fish stores. I have heard good things about Big Al's service and prices though.
