My Keyni has issues... he has always been a bit aggressive, but given time with other fish he did adjust, we eventually got rid of the other fish in his tank because the tank was constantly cloudy.  He had Convicts living with him.. then he seemed to get sad :(  now he has a pleco in his 30 g tank.  He started out beating himself on anything and everything in his tank, he would swim up beside the filters and smash his side into them with a harsh fin flip.  this went on for several weeks, we called them temper tantrums.  Then he would stay in one area of the tank pointing straight up. Twords where we previously had another tank set up with fish (who all died of ick) this went on for another 2 weeks or so... we figured he was just depressed. that was when we put the large Pleco in his tank. he chased him for a few days but lost intrest, now he is still pointing straight up and has 'bloody' areas where he was beating on the filters, and around his fins :( also where he has the bloody areas his scales seem to be peeling away.  he has an under gravel filter, and an over the wall filter, plus an air stone.  he is about 6-7 years old...

Hi Jan,
 (We emailed about this in a private email) As I mentioned there, given that he is 6-7, that really does sound like he is getting on.  In fact, at that age, I would say that is a pretty good life for an African cichlid.
