setting up new cichlid tank

Just wondering what type of african cichlids we should start with and what should we do to make sure tank is set up for them?

   There are so many possibilities and the choice is yours. There are over 2000 species of cichlids, so that is a lot to choose from.  

   Are you set on African cichlids or are you considering cichlids in general?   If you want to consider Central American cichlids, I have an article on my website
