covict cichlids

Question
I just recently bought 3 convict cichlids.  The pet store wasn't sure if there was a male and a female.  Two of them are now schooling together, in and out of all the caves together and they chase the third one (which is smaller) around the tank.  The smallest one has a pink belly (female?).  The pair that hangs around - one is larger, no colours except black & white, the other has yellow on the top and bottom fins. Are they male and female? I'm hoping they are, I'd love to see them have babies. Thanks for your help. Candace

  Hmmm... yellow on the top and bottom fins doesn't sound like a convict, although rarely some do so it is possible.  Is there any chance you could send me a digital photo and I could take a look?
