QuestionMY OSCAR I HAVE HAD FOR ABOUT SIX - SEVEN MONTHS IS HUGE AND HIS RIGHT EYE IS VERY SWOLLEN. I AM NOT SURE IF THIS IS A SIGN OF DISEASE OR AN INJURY. I HAVE TWO OSCARS AND I ALSO HAVE A CRAWFISH IN THE TANK. THE PET STORE OWNER SAID HE WOULD HELP KEEP IT CLEAN ON THE BOTTOM. DID I MAKE A MISTAKE BY GETTING THE CRAWFISH AND WHAT IS THE DEAL WITH THE EYE BEING SWOLLEN SO BAD.
AnswerHi April,
It is very possible that the oscar was bothering the crayfish and the crawfish got the oscars eye with a claw.
I don't understand what the pet store guy was thinking because crayfish are food to oscars so I would never put a
crayfish in with an oscar.
