Why does my fish look sick?

Question
Hello Ron,
I had two goldfishes and Charcoal just recently died. They are always playing
around in the fish tank and having fun, then I wake up one morning and
Charcoal is floating. Ever since this has happened, Sunkist hasn't been
himself. He isn't that active anymore he acts more like he's depressed, can a
fish be depressed? What could possibly be wrong with Sunkist? Please tell me
what's wrong... he looks like he's dying slowly!!

Answer
Hi Tash,
It is very possible that when they were "playing around" it was actually one of them (Sunkist) chasing the other (Charcoal) and that's why Charcoal died.

It is also possible that that wasn't the cause but instead something is wrong with your water.   Are you doing regular weekly partial water changes?  You need to change about 25% of the water once a week, every week to keep your fish healthy.
