QuestionQUESTION: i am logged on to photo "dianspics" with a video of a different type of mollie. I've tryed to write to allexperts and they asked for a picture but no one has been able to respond to the video... help. I've had him almost 2 yrs. and he's gorgeous. solid black with a long lower hanging multiple fin that ends in a frill of white almost like lace.
ANSWER: Hello Dian,
As I do not have access to these "pics" I have no clue onto what it is that you are asking of me. If I were to place an educated guess, I would say that you managed to get a type of lyretail molly through genetic breeding to produce this type of offspring. As to getting more, I could not tell you where to even look for them, as private breeders often only have a few of certain varieties. If I had a picture of it, I might be of more use to you. Or a web address of this video. I will await your response before continuing.
Thanks for your question,
Adrian

QUESTION: sorry but i am logged into photobucket dianspics/mollies this is a video of my mollie. i did write to one other expert. wisdom in the council of many. thanks dian
AnswerFrom the picture that I saw, I would say that you got a very neat genetically altered Poecilia latipinna. It is a cross of mollies, part being the sailfin, and the black lyretail. Definately not a common molly. Thanks for the intrigue of it all.
Sincerely,
Adrian
