Feeding Betta TetraVacation

Question
My daughter received two betta in a double tank for Valentines Day. Is it alright to feed them TetraVacation tropical slow release feeder while we are gone for a week?  If so how much?  If this food is not O.K. what should she feed them?

Answer
No this is a bad idea. Those feeders are meant for larger tanks with filters. Chances are your water will become so polluted and filled with ammonia in one week that you will come back to dead fish.
Your best bet is to go with one small betta 3 day feeder, make sure it is for bettas as they are strictly carnivores and require a specific diet, and have them without food for a few days.
Or have a friend come over every other day and feed them for you.
