Question
I have a bubble-eyed fish and a fantail living together. they are fine living with each other but my bubbles seems to be turning orange. i read that the black molly started turning orange because of the water conditions; could i have the same problem?

Answer
Hello,

If the bubble-eye was orange when you bought him then you're looking after him perfectly well. Well-fed, happy fish produce more guanin which in turn makes their colour more vivid.

It's probably not the water conditions. Goldfish such as the Black Moor often change colour with age. However, you may want to get your water tested at the local fish shop just to be sure.

Good luck!
