Why has my bright orange fancy tailed goldfish turn almost completely white?

Hi Mary;

It's quite normal for goldfish to change color most of their lives while they grow. Some change several times and lose or gain different colored markings. We never know for sure what a baby goldfish will grow up to look like until it happens.
