Hi, i was wondering if you could help me because i used to have 2 lamp leleupi's and they got on really well but then one of them died and we decided to get another one to keep it company but they really dont get one well and chase each other all the time non-stop... is this down to mating or is it 2 males fighting? thanks x!

When the other one died the one you still have took over all his territory. Now the new one has come and wants a chunk of real estate for himself but the old one won't let him.

With cichlids, its all about territory and boundaries. You can rearrange the decor and mess up the old one's territory, they won't be as much fighting.
