Swim bladder problem.

Question
Can an Oscar recover from the swim bladder problem??  We have lost one Oscar and an algea eater to this problem, we have done everything the local pet store tells us to do, change water, diet, stone, filters, etc.  She has not been able to swim for about one month now.

Hi Dawn,
  Are you feeding your oscars with live feeder fish?   If so, that is most likely the problem. I strongly recommend that people NEVER feed their fish with feeder fish because all too often the feeders carry various diseases which easily kill fish like oscars.
