Injured wing

Question
My cockatiel flew into a table and injured his wing.The pet store that we got him from said to leave him in his cage until it heals itself. My problem is that he doesn't like to be in the cage when I am home. He only wants out. I do not have money to take him to a Vet right now. Any advice you could give would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Wayne, I am sorry to say that leaving him in his cage wont help anything he will only flap his wings possibly hitting toys and making it worse basicly its no better then allowing him out so I'd still let him out. A vet is nessairy right away no ifs, ands or buts about it you need to find the money now or an infection may set in.
