when a rooster is put in with hens, how long does it take for the eggs to become fertile?

Don't mean to be rude, but I hate questions like this. There isn't a set number of days it takes for them to be fertile, it depends on different things eg. if the rooster is actually covering them or not. Sometimes it is on the day, sometimes it is after a week. I would wait a week before you start collecting fertile eggs.
