abandoned egg

Question
I have found an abandon sparrow egg and i feel sorry for it would it be ok if i tried to hatch it? and if  so how would you be able to hatch it? and what and how would i feed it?
I have chicken and may be able to use the following answers in future.

If you are sure it has been abandoned, you can try to hatch it but most likely it is no good. Unless you have experience in hatching and raising young birds it is VERY difficult to accomplish. You can go to www.ornithology.com/rehab.html for information if you want to try it. Good luck.
