Questionwe have a stallion and a pregnent mare and we have them in a large pen but its split up so they are not together. Can they be together or will the stallion cause harm to the mare?

Thanks for your question. If it ain't broke- don't fix it. I wouldn't ever put pregnant mares in with a stallion. In fact, I wouldn't put a mare in with a stallion at all unless you were trying to "pasture breed." They really just need companionship of other horses which they can get by being near to each other. Keep them divided and let them enjoy each other's company safely separated. Best, Toni
