Answer
I'll try and answer this Harlee

normal price for an unregistered horse?
I've seen unregistered stock sell for thousands of dollars and $50 depends on what they can do and have done...
are they good ranch horses -- good open show horses --- what?

lowest price for good horse that is for like teenager just to ride on..
What defines a good horse?   How well broken is it?  I'm a real sticker on kids and novice adults being mounted on very well TRAINED! ex show horses and older horses...

Horses are worth what people will pay for them --- other than that -- its so much a pound...  that sounds crude but it is truthful.

If you have a horse auction in your area --- go one night to watch.  That will educate you as to the what horses are bringing.

It was may be as low as a couple hundred dollars up to maybe $1500 - $2000.  But it BETTER BE a very well trained horse --- and that is determined by experienced and knowledgeable horsemen making that call - not bar ditch riders.

We personally deal in the reining industry where horses can sell for hundreds of thousands of dollars for just prospects as 2 year olds - and sell for thousands as finished horses and millions if proven breeding and performing animals..

hope this helps
